does Activision have a plan, yes, the plan is to say little, and probably do even less...although rumors have it that an improvement to chat may be among the first of the DLC...but the rumors are UNCONFIRMED...Fluk

anyway... here is the Activision new so far:

Activision support reassures Modern Warfare 3 players that the in-game voice chat problems are being “looked into.”

Modern Warfare 3 players have been reporting that the in-game voice chat as being “muffled” and “choppy”. Xbox 360 players have the option to party up and use 360′s built-in voice chat system to avoid the issue. However, PS3 users have no option but to use the in-game system that’s riddled with problems. Activision customer support has commented on the issue by saying ”we are currently looking into issues with in-game voice chat. We hope to have something shortly.”

I havent used the voice chat yet, is it really as bad as i hear it is?

it seem a lil better since the last update, however it is obvious that they are not using the same system as BO..

which is realy the only "fix" i can imagine..tweaking the 'code' they are currently using may help a lil, but after the quality of chat in BO, tweaking wont cut it here

I wonder if the VoIP code used in BO can be ported over to MW3's code easily?

I hardly even use the chat, unless I'm grouping up with you guys. Most of the time I have to mute just about everyone in the lobby, eother cus they are stupid, annoying or just impossible to hear.

IF Activicion/IW make the VoIP fix available as DLC, they had better make it free to everyone who purchased the game, and it better not count against the DLC we are supposed to be getting as part of the Premium Elite membership!

Can you hear me now.... Yes You can certainly tell the bluetooth guys from the headset guys. I mute most. I do love the fact that now you catch about a 5 second reaction of the person you kill... SO AWESOME..

Most of the time when I get killed I yell HOMO real loud..

as far as i know, they just said they would try to have the chat fixed by the time of the first DLC is available. ya, the download would likly just be one of those forced downloads, but along with chat, im sure fixes to the DLC will also come with that update.

lets face it, chat dont work, elite dont work, so IM SURE they will need to patch the game before they release DLC or that will be the THIRD thing on the list that dosent work right!!!

so plan your day, first you will have to download a HUGE patch, then download your first DLC, then probably ANOTHER patch...

as we talked about online Dark, im sure someone owns the right to BO VoIP, but is it activision?, or the developers?, either way, they beter buy some doughnuts, coffee, sit down and work the deal out, so the code can be patched to MW3. WTF?

At this point, I just hope the promise of DLC included with the Elite Premium is more than just a couple cheesy DLC, or more recycled maps!

And WTF is up with the mandatory Sony updates!! I looked through the info they provided and it updates some crap that isn't even relevant to the game, or PSN from what I can tell, so why force us to download it?

well, it may be all in my mind..but

update 4.0 sounds like a GOOD update...

updates like 3.67 of 3.845.2 sound like cheesey patches...

but 4.0? that sound like ALL the problems of the world have been resolved...
