Hey all; I would just like to heed you this warning (although if you're reading this, there's obviously no real problem... )

Forumotion (whom of course our website is made with) are having incredible issues at the moment running with internet explorer.

Now this is due to a large update which they have put onto all of their forums, to supposedly better the coding or what have you.


I therefore HIGHLY recommend using a different programme (either firefox, or what I personally use, and know to work; google chrome), as these WILL work.

I ask that those who see and read this message pass this information on to all fellow clanmates, as I obviously cannot do that.... wait, fuck PSN's down.... hmm.... well if you can; pass the message on... If not, please do it as soon as PSN is up.

I shall be making a temporary popup message on the main homepage (www.joinfty.com), giving this message, so hopefully they will visit that URL and see the issue, but I do realise that many just automatically acces the forum directly via /forum....


So yes; Forumotion is FULLY aware of this issue, and it has been around for the past 2 weeks, although only affected me for the first time this afternoon. When, or if it will be gotten rid of is unknown to me and them, so for the meantime I just ask that you use a different programme. (links can be found below if you need them)

P.S. I rarely use a decent internet programme - normally just IE8; so it's nice to see my CSS coding (stuff like the white shadow when hovering over links) on chrome.....

P.S.2. OOH! Whilst I remember! LOOKIN!!!! I FINALLY FOUND THE CODE TO MAKE THE CHATBOX HOVER OVER THE PAGE AS A WIDGET!!!!!!!!!
Will take some time putting up, and making perfect, but the raw coding's there!!!

I found this code which a forumotion admin guy made up, and now just as Lookin requested oh so long ago; the chatbox is now officially accessible from every single page on the site (minus my personally created HTML pages, so homepage, application wizard, and the "YOU LOSE!!!" Jude Law denial of entry pages all won't allow you to access the chatbox; but all forum-based pages will.

All you have to do is click on the little tab floating on the bottom right hand side of the screen, and it'll expand to normal size. You then press on the claret tab again to minimise it back to the corner.


It's actually a pretty awesome bit of code, so major kudos to the forumotion admin team for making that one up....



So yeah;


Hope it'll come in handy or whatever.....

we need to get some people in the cb sometime. i wanna chat on multiple pages always been a dream.

I'm a little undecided as to whether the cb should stay on the forum homepage or not too.....

I mean it seems silly with both up, but then again, the site looks odd without it at the top, and I also quite like to see if anybody's logged into it when coming on the site, which you can do instantly with it up - takes effort if it's minimised.....

put it back up for a little while, but if it annoys you, you can just leave it as is.

I can't see it on other pages...it would be nice as a small widget on the side...

It certianly works on every computer I've tried it on, which is at the moment 4 or 5....

The problem with ahving it a widget is that you still have to scroll to the top of the screen to access it. And then once you've done that, it'll only cause for the chatbox to float on screen anyway, which is essentially what it's doing at the moment, so if you can't see it now, you won't be able to see it then either....

I see it now, it just wasn't what i expected. it works well, i just didnt use my eyes earlier...lol

haha, it is a little oddly placed, but i dont know if it could be anywhere better. top corners it would get in the way. maybe the bottom left corner, but i like it where it is.

I'd find that incredibly awkward myself, because the scrollbar's on the right side, so it's easy to open the chatbox, and I don't have to go to moving over to the other side of the screen all the time to type and to scroll through posts at the same time.....



also on the right, it it rarely gets in the way, because the set default width of the forum, but on the left it'll always get in the way of names/avatars/ranks etc.

I like it where it is - good idea!

I think the only chat box issue is it hard to get people on all at once... Certainly no issue with the box it's self.

The issue is it doesnt work anymore?? you have to log in on main homepage, you cant log into to chat from the box anymore.

still.... If you log in at the homepage, before going into threads, the chatbox works normally on the side-widget.... Just for some reason, you can't log in on the side-widget, if not already logged in on the home page....



But yeah....



1) go to joinfty.com/forum like you normally would

2) press log-in on the homepage chatbox

3) look for the threads you wanna read

4) open the widget, and chat.

the pfree PS3 stuff works, but the log in on the chatbox widget doesnt
