I've been busy recently, and more than anything, pissed off with CoD for the . But it has struck me these past few days of the rapid decline in the clan's original heart. Although the PS3, and xbox 360 regiments seem to be growing nicely, the regiment has gone down to at most possibly a few active players. I take ENTIRE blame for this, because I took my eye off the ball, and so all that hard work over the first few months has just been put to waste. It puts a lump in my throat to think of what the regiment is now in comparison to what it was like just 2 or 3 months ago, when we had around 30 active players, and tried to make a constant flow of gamebattles matches. This MUST improve. And it is entirely my responsibility to ensure that happens. Recently I've been focusing on only minor things such as websites, videos, and other such nicetys, but haven't actually thought about the real substance. Both the online, and ingame community. I mean, it's all well and good having these luxuries, but what's the point if nobody's ever going to see them?!?!? The forum used to have around 50 hits a day, but now averages at about 15. This is NOT acceptable. Of course I'm not blaming you, the loyal visitors of the site, but instead it is entirely my fault for not drilling into people the importance of the forum to the clan, and how communication, and the entire feeling of community is what is truely at the heart of the clan, rather than focusing of just getting a large number of people onto the members list.
This must all change. And with that, I myself must have the dedication, and determination I had back in the very beggining of The Fortay's formation. I had the hope, and the ambition to turn what was essentially the remnants of RoT into a power which is bigger, stronger, and still a nicer place to be than RoT could ever be. This ambition lingered within me, as we began to grow, and move in dramatic forward steps, upto the greatness we showed during our first ever gamebattles win.
That, was the defining moment. That win itself was the moment people began actually believing that what I had wanted, and had set out to do all along - be better than RoT, had happened. I felt as if I had achieved the ambition, and so no longer carried on with as much passion. This in amongst itself caused the decline. I had no goal.
And so. Starting from this day forwards, I will do all within me to resecure our clans status as one of the strongest clans in existence. Many changes will be happening, and unlike the past, ALL of these will be fully completed, too the whole of my ability. I know this will be incredibly difficult, as we will have to start again from the very beggining, and may not even have the support of the original guys, who have now branched off to the xbox or PS3 divisions; but even so, it is VITAL for the life and soul of The Fortay Gaming Clan that the reformation of it's core platform; the , is re-assembled.

And to do so, we all need to come together as one, wether you are a wiier, a 3er, or a 360er, to ensure that we as a whole can combine, and grow as one. Our community's true potential can be found, and we can grow to the clan we whole-heartedly deserve to be. Ensure that you are visiting the site every day. Ensure that you express all your thoughts and opinions in whichever topic you wish here, and converse together, ensure that you are active ingame, and are always happy to play, ensure that you do whatever you possibly can for the clan, and bring in as many good people to the clan as you can, but most of all;

ensure you are proud to hold that Fty tag.



We can restore greatness.
But only if we all do our part.

well all i can say is SOCIALIZATION is the key its been weeks since ive even seen a soul on skype or the site chatbox and now on the forums i feel like jtl spamming the place up jk we need to make lists of who can play both wii and other platforms and who is going to only play one i believe so we can get our groups straight ( imo ) id be happy to play the wii every oce in a while but since its a tad annoying to set up the wii sometimes i need to know if ppl are going to be on before hand ( ie skype, forums , chatbox ) and ive been onthe wii recently and havnt seen anybody

I try to come to the site everyday and zod has a point in saying he feels like i spam the place up. i dont do it on purpose but it just happens with me coming as often as i do. i try to stay away from wii and ps3 threads because i have nothing to do with them, i will read them but not put my two cents in, to keep down on spamming.

i also agree that socialization is key.

Posting is good. I encourage it. I understand and agree with what you say, and think we need to create more of a community. With the number of active forum users currently that's not exactly possible, but if we all try to build up the clan, bringing in new faces, and encouraging this social behaviour between them, then we may end up at that delightful stage where there is more than just one lone person sitting in the site chatbox........

We can all dream......

well, 1 suggestion, that to me, seemed to be both the *hit* and downfall of my old clan CQC was the chat box, when it was 'live' anyone that logged onto the home page, could see who was in the chat box, and what they were saying. it kept the chat on the site, and not on skype, which in turn encouraged more posts, more people hanging out on the site..etc...

again, if you were logged into the site, you could see the chat, you only had to log into the chat if you wanted to talk in the chat...

im sure it was the same 'type' of chatbox we have now...


when that changed in CQC, (because of fear of lurkers reading our chats), people just didt log in, the chatbox died, and then the site slowed.....

well that seems logical......


i shall update the rules soon, so bear with me.

Oh wow we need to bring this site back I'll try to get the iw and gb threads up again whenever I can get to a comp. This site used to be filled with people from fty and nv now I see nobody.

thats the point tg. We're trying to start recruiting plenty of new people, and drill in the idea of community, and socialising through the forum with these guys.

I myself have experienced the same trials and tribulations in growing my own business... Believe me there is always a light at the end of the tunnel..

I apologize for not being as active as I have been previously as well...

There just seems to be so much going on in the summer time that it is at sometime hard to keep up...

But Keep your head up... You still have plenty of supporters of you and the clan...

We all can grow to be the powerhouse that FTY really is....

Well just for the record:

my wife always sez, its not the size that matters....

I think the FTY gang we have now is great...TG, ZO, Kemp, Bloodi, JT...everyone here has a POSITIVE ATTITUDE (xcept bloodi)...and are a lot of fun to blog/play with.

also i gotta give props to my PS3 'Band of Brothers' (u kno who u r)...a fun bunch of guys..that put up with me and my 3-2-45 scores....we dont have 1 jerk in the whole group..every1 is cool.....

so lets keep in mind, that we want to grow, and add new members, but lets keep the 'flavor' of FTY alive, LETS NOT JUST RECRUIT PLAYERS; LETS RECRUIT MEMBERS!

IDK id we can force anyone to think me and kemp are funny, or that JT and Bloodi are wise...BUT we can try to include in future recruiting posts info about who we are (as a clan)...i would just like future members to understand this clan is not just about KDR, but teamwork and friendship.

of course, GB shoud have our best guys...but not everyone that is interresting or funny is good at COD and vice versa....

Example: Joker recruits our ps3 skilled players, because he is skilled
I recruit our ps3 crazy players, cuz im crazy...(idk about some of my recruits, i havnt asked em to join cuz they are bad as me..lol)

Anyway...lets keep it fun, and let me know if i can do anything to help...

Hey peeps - guess who's back on the forums?

Its gonna sound silly, but I didn't actually realise that there was a website for the FTY! clan

So, hi guys! To all of you who knew me from RoT, i was Gnu on the Wii clan, and when I got my ps3 I started using my online moniker for everything. So now I'm josingh20 (pronounced "jay-oh-sing-twenty").

I will be adding more people when I get back online tonight, and look forward to playing with some old and new faces alike. Add me up if you play on the ps3 too.

Oh, and just bear in mind I'm actually from the UK, that when I sign on it's like 11pm and I play til 2am JUST to play with you yank guys! (you know who you are)
